Ivan L. London

Associate

Ivan is a 2008 graduate with distinction of the University of Oklahoma College of Law. While earning his Juris Doctor as a Comfort Scholar, Ivan served as a published member of the Oklahoma Law Review and was the Editor-in-Chief of the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Mineral Law Section Newsletter. In his first year of law school, Ivan co-founded and later served as President of the OU Energy & Resource Law Student Association.

In addition to receiving the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Scholarship, the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation Scholarship, and the A.L. Jaffrey Municipal Law Scholarship, Ivan was selected to the Dean’s Honor Roll for every semester of law school and Ivan earned American Jurisprudence Awards for the top scores in Legal Research & Writing II, Oil & Gas Contracts/Taxation, and Land Use Controls. He was also a member of the OU competitions teams for Negotiation and Client Counseling, and was chosen as a member of the Order of Solicitors.

Ivan is the author of “Adverse to Reason: The Texas Supreme Court’s Disconcerting Approach to Adverse Possession of Mineral Leases in the Pool Case and Its Progeny,” 60 Oklahoma Law Review 817 (2007).
